There is a saying, Strike While The Iron Is Hot! and for a certain for-sale-by-owner that I sold last week, they are about to find out why. Flood Plain = Flood Pain! After watching my local DPW trucks haul sandbags around town to hold back the floods caused by recent rains, I have the flood plain on my brain! I took a listing recently that was in a flood plain but nobody knew it. The house was built in 1959. The owner was a church, and the house served as a home for various clergy over the years. Ok, I'm a confessed adrenaline junkie, so the film "The Science of Adrenaline" at the Boston Museum of Science was a "must see"! GOT MOLD? "Got milk"? Well that might be good, but if you've "Got Mold" - or have made a claim based on water damage - you might find you haven't got insurance! Even if your insurer isn't looking into your water problems, they are looking into the profiles of their insured. Made a claim in the past 3 years?
