cheryl willis: Pierce City, MO Quilt Show 2009 - 09/12/09 09:05 AM

The MO Broker got a couple of hours of Me-Time today.  Thought you might get a kick out of the eye candy I got to see while running around Pierce City.
I ran into a past client and promised to post photos where she can find them.  We all love getting inspired by quilters from the past, present and possibly the future.  Happy stitching!  cw

cheryl willis: NO Client is too Small- I am a full service Broker in the OZARKS! - 09/04/09 05:30 AM
I got a text message the other day from our Oldest Daughter.  Her boss is in a situation and needs immediate help.
Of Course I am here to SERVE!

cheryl willis: How to find a REALTOR to work with in AURORA, MO www.Aurora-MO.com - 08/28/09 04:50 AM
One of nice things about living in SW Missouri is that I can be just about anywhere I want to within 30 minutes.  www.Aurora-MO.com
I got a call today from a customer/client who is looking to find a home in Aurora, MO.  She wanted to know if I 'knew' of an agent that works the town.  Too funny!  Of course I do.  (That would be ME!!)
She has been on my website and was familiar with the search section.  In fact she had even requested additional info on a couple of the favorites and was impressed with the speed at which … (2 comments)

cheryl willis: Cheryl-Willis has a New Domain www.cheryl-willis.com - 08/28/09 02:19 AM
www.cheryl-willis.com is my newest domain to link to my website.  I am still in the process of deciding HOW I plan to use the new domains.
Right now I am trying a little test to see if I can "even find it" after all it has only been active for a couple of days.  (I am guessing that this post will pull it to the top pretty quick!)
www.GO-DADDY.com is my favorite place to 'shop' for names.
Years ago when I started with RE/MAX- a personal website was the up an coming thing to do.  (I love being cutting edge)  Now … (4 comments)

cheryl willis: Mo Broker loves RE/MAX! - 08/20/09 08:20 AM
There is a lot of stuff going on in the Real Estate Industry right now.
I am so proud to be associated with a National (Inter-National) company.
The tools and resources provided to our agents surpass any that I have seen.
Even in a small local market (its all local isn't it?) I am blessed with the peers and technology to serve my clients well.
This Missouri Broker loves RE/MAX!  Here's a little BRAG I want to share.
While I am on the Tooting the Horn mode let me throw in a picture of our Ribbon Cutting last week.

cheryl willis: Mr & Mrs Lookie Lou- I have the key to your Dream Home! - 08/14/09 09:18 AM
One of my peers did a tongue in cheek post about LOOKY LOO TOUR GUIDE RULES,
I have to admit it as pretty funny.  I started to comment on her brilliance to find a way to create a form. (seriously just kidding, I like her idea and may create my own version to have signed).  What I really like about her writing was the stereo-type many agents are thinking about 'buyers'.
I have to admit the ticket price for her tour seems a little low but in the spirit of giving the buyer what they pay for, it may be a good deal.

cheryl willis: Nature and Marketing Contest- Waiting at the front door - 08/14/09 07:06 AM
I I don't want to ruin the post by writing to much, especially b/c the card speaks for itself.  Thanks Russ for the inspiration to Think outside the box when it comes to marketing.  Sometimes simple is better.  I may tweak this a bit later, but am thinking it may be an image I want to work into my post card rotation.
Looking forward to seeing the other entries.  be good  cw

cheryl willis: My favorite 10,000- points that is... - 08/14/09 05:07 AM
There have been some good contests going on in the RAIN-  If I were a better writer I would take the time to link to the favorites. The one on childhood home got me to thinking about other memories that we make, not just the brick and mortar kind but relationships with peers and associates.
So this post is was going to be a short (or not) memory lesson on how I earned my first ten thousand. (AR points that is-  My first 10,000 other type points is for another book!)
My journey into all things RAIN started here:  http://activerain.com/blogsview/47360/lawrence-co-mo back in … (5 comments)

cheryl willis: Wordless, with a twist - 08/14/09 03:26 AM

I will give three four clues:
1:  I have not yet written about the event that required this conversation piece to be created
2:  The Picture has been distorted using PHOTOBUCKET
3:  The object of my interest  was very tasty!!  (JMHO)
4:  This in NOT Broccoli (see clue #3)
Subject will be revealed in a later post.- cw

cheryl willis: Tim Tanz returns phone calls! Read all about it-- - 08/04/09 07:39 AM
All hail the power of Active Rain-  to make a short story long, the MO Broker (that would be me) was in need of a live body in St. Louis.  Not as strange as it sounds.
I could go several different ways with this post but I am going to choose to brag on a peer from the RAIN (now favorite agent in St Louis- who is going to get all my referral business- however limited that may be in his area)
I am working as a Buyers Agent for a guy purchasing with a FHA loan.  The lender has postponed closing … (8 comments)

cheryl willis: Memories of My Childhood Home by the MO Broker - 07/29/09 05:59 PM
"Memories of My Childhood Home"-  Thanks to Jason Crouch, a favorite peer in the RAIN, I have a new writing assignment.
Rules are to write authenticity and share my story of where I 'grew up'.
First I have to say I am honored that Jason thinks that I have grown up.  Now if I could just get that kind of respect from the agents around here.  (just kidding)  As a disclaimer, I have to confess that after the age of 40 I think I started to revert back to the simpler (is that childlike?) way of looking and participating in life.

cheryl willis: Cheryl Willis, MO Broker lists and sells in Mt Vernon, Monett, Aurora and Marionville, MO - 07/29/09 04:31 PM
I am what one would call a quizzi-dedicated blogger.  I probably am a quizzi-many things type of gal.  I have a few skills that the average *professional may not have.  (* I mean REALTOR- what were you thinking?) Cheryl WIllis, MO Broker lists and sells in Mt Vernon, Monett, Aurora and Marionville, MO I have a blog, I post when I get around to it, I read more than I write and if it weren't for my peers I would not be near as accomplished as I am (even if it is in my own mind).  That all being said (or rambled, … (2 comments)

cheryl willis: I TIMU! Do You? - 06/11/09 10:08 AM
I am hoping to see a lot of re-blogging of Matt's announcement of his new start-up.  I would like to take it a bit further and challenge everyone to personally invite someone to join.  My personal invite is to YOU!
What you do with this invitation is up to you, I suggest you do that thing where you send it to all your friends etc.... only good stuff can come of having the sports people off the streets and on the computer where they belong (just kidding)  I know how much I have come to love having all my peers in … (0 comments)

How exciting is this for me to be able to share this new venture with my readers-  Remember you saw this from me first (well actually Matt wrote about it first but I re-blogged!)
Everyone knows how much of a fan of Active Rain I am.  The access to peers across the country is just the best thing since sliced bread.  I am thrilled that the sports world is going to have a place where fans and players can communicate on a more personal level.  I am off to check out the new site-  wonder if the Willis Weekly House Cleaning Games … (2 comments)

cheryl willis: Can you get me a form to fill out my own contract, I am buying a FSBO... - 06/09/09 07:39 AM
Oh wait, it gets better.......  I am pre-approved and my lender said to just bring in a contract and we can close in two weeks.
Are you rolling on the floor yet?
Are you looking around for the hidden cameras- this has to be an episode of "How to make a Realtor's head Explore" 101 Free Class for credit scores under 550.
In all seriousness-- NO I will not loan you a form so you can Do It Yourself.

Knowing me I will memorize the number and not have to look it up again- just kidding  Good News is that it will be "out there" … (4 comments)
