After I repaired the failing tape joint at the giant vaulted ceiling drywall seam, I was ready to apply an all purpose joint compound to match the knockdown texture on this drywall tape repair using the knockdown texture sponge by the Texture Master, a 6" drywall taping knife, 14" mud pan and a 24" acrylic knockdown paddle. While on a complete exterior repaint in Rockledge, Fl. I was painting the lanai ceiling when the knockdown texture on the pool patio ceiling started to come off onto my roller while rolling the first coat of paint on this ceiling. In this video clip I'm using my knockdown texture repair sponge to apply joint compound to the areas where the knockdown texture and paint had failed instead of breaking out my large texture rig to match the heavy knockdown texture.
