This July in 2011, Clintonville saw 37 homes get sold. This is three more that the 34 sold last year in July 2010. The average home sold in 2011 was a 3BD 1BA 1,492 sq ft home, sold for $178,000 after 66 days on the market. The average home in July 2010 was also a 3BD 1BA, with 1,482 sq ft selling for $189,000 after 45 days on the market.

In a normal market, foreclosure homes sales account for about 5% of all sales.In all, 158,434 homes in some stage of foreclosure sold in the 1st quarter of 2011, down 36% from a year ago. Foreclosed homes that sold in Clintonville also were down from 2010.

In Central Ohio, home sales for the first two months of the year are down 1.1 percent from the same period last year, according to new figures released yesterday by the Columbus Board of Realtors. There were 2,178 homes closed in January and February compared to the 2,202 closings during the first two months of 2010. February home sales dipped to 1,128, or 1.3 percent less that the 1,143 homes sold during the same month one year ago.

Hampered by a rise in foreclosures, the nation's homeownership rate has remained at the lowest level in more than a decade.

We had our 10th pumpkin giveaway in Clintonville to benefit Neighborhood Services Inc, a food pantry serving the Ohio State University neighborhoods. The Jackson Team, along with the Columbus Team of Keller Williams Capital Partners Realty had a gorgeous day to collect donations and food items from members of the community on October 16. We had so many happy children and families come to this event, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. The Whetstone High School drum line gave us some rousing entertainment as well.
