The McConnell Arts Center has many goals for 2012, but becoming financially self-sufficient is not to be one of them. Worthington City Council heard a presentation on the nonprofit arts center at its meeting Monday, December 5th. The presentation began with a look back at an exciting year to the center.
"The board and the staff at the MAC feel really confident about where we've been in 2011," said Parket MacDonell, president of the cneter's board of trustees. Programming continued to expand in 2011, with 203 performances, classes or other events, an increat of 88 percent, said director Jon Cook.

This compares well to it the same time period in 2008. 45 Homes sold in September 2008, with the average sales price being $170,170. Days on market averaged 69
15.1% more homes sold in September 2009 and the average price was 9.4% higher!

realtor 43085: What will the final health plan reform bill look like?

I read where there was an ammendum or proposal that the final bill would need to be put online for at least 72 hours before it was to be voted on. That would give us, the taxpayer, a chance to review this bill and contact our Congressperson about our opinions.
Needless to say , this proposal was voted down.
What is wrong with posting this very important piece of legislation on the web for 72 hours so we can all see what they are trying to pass??

Propelled by the wildly popular " cash for clunkers", consumer spending shot up in August by the largest amount in nealry eigth years.
A gain of 1.1% was expected according to the Commence Department. The gain was somewhat surprising considering that incomes only rose 0.2 %. The big jump in consumer spending, which accounts for 70% of total economic activity is a good indication that the economy is returning to positive growth this summer.
