We were contacted by a local broker to provide a staging proposal for a loft in a modern building in Portland's Pearl district recently. The seller had moved to another state and realized that a vacant space isn't as appealing to potential buyers. When we first viewed the loft as a vacant space it lacked warmth and personality. This Ultra-Green home is included in the upcoming Oregon Ultimate Open House Tour to be held April 18-19 & 25-26. All of the homes in the tour are new construction or -- as in the case of this home -- totally remodeled. This home was built in 1957 but was taken down to the frame and rebuilt to become Oregon's first "gut rehab" project and achieved LEED Platinum status. What can I say? Staging this home was a dream! From my first visit with the very engaging and knowledgeable owner to the final day of staging, the entire process was such a pleasure. Why? Because the owner knew from the beginning that staging this home would help complete the vision that he had for it. For maximum appeal, staging adds the inviting touches that allow potential buyers to mentally "move in" to a home when they're viewing it.
