We've passed it showing homes in Valpo hundreds of times over the last decade. Recently,our nephew came to visit (and we had unseasonably cool drizzly weather)...so we decided to go to the 49 er Drive-in Theatre located @ 675 North Calumet Avenue in Valparaiso, IN 46383 This night brought back some of fond childhood memories of our family spending time together at a venue like this....i.e.- getting there early to get a front row parking spot, visiting the concession stand for popcorn & snacks, bringing a blanket or lawn chair to lounge on, throwing around the football in the grassy field while we waited for … (4 comments)

We closed today on a beautiful home we listed for sale in DeMotte, IN ( Jasper County, 46310 ). This Listing was the result of the sphere of influence of another client who found us on one of our many websites (POINT 2) and liked the way we marketed homes and recommended us to family ! In these changing times with social media morphing at about the rate of the speed of light... This Sunday 5/31/09 from 10 am to 4 pm.... peruse the work of over 2 dozen artists who will exhibit their oil or acrylic paintings, metal sculptures, fabric arts, ceramics and crafts along the perimeter and on the trails of the Tall Tree Garden! It may be somewhat rare these days to have a Loan get through the underwriting process without getting kicked back with at least one (if not more) condition to full fill before final approval and those 3 famous words: "Clear to Close" are heard .

The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore will draw many more visitors than usual starting at NOON this Friday, May 18th, 2008 when scientists, students, volunteers, nature lovers and spectators alike will gather for 24 hours to partake in the BioBlitz - this being only the 3rd event of it's kind ever, in our entire country! The Purpose of the BioBlitz basically is to document every Living Plant and Animal Species in our local National Park along the Lake Michigan Shoreline and adjacent Forest preserve lands in Northwest Indiana! In our Indiana Travels, between Hebron and DeMotte there's a Restaurant and Bar located right on the Kankakee River called Marti's Place at Ramsey's Landing that has been around for many years. I asked Jeff to stop the other day on the way home from Indy...(I had a taste for some catfish and a beer :) The menu has a wide variety, but for some reason, I always choose the catch of the day or catfish. It was windy, so we ate inside (outside seating is also available) but the wall of windows overlooking the river provided great views!
