The Maryland General Assembly finally passed a slots bill, but the discussion over legalized gambling is far from over. The law the legislature passed would let voters decide next November whether to legalize slot-machine gambling. So now it is up to you. OR IS IT? No matter which side of this issue you are on your vote will not count a much as one would think. Even if all Worcester County voters were on one side or the other voters from all across the state will be deciding the out come. This is great news for the market here. It is good news for both sellers and buyers. Current statistics from the Coastal Association of REALTORS for October show new contracts for the month of 128 compared to 93 in October 2006. Things are picking up prior to the Holidays and we will see if this trend continues into the new year.
