team springdale: Tyson Returning to Downtown Springdale

Tyson Foods was founded in Springdale, AR in the 1930s. Last week, Tyson, who is still headquartered in Springdale, made the announcement that they are making a considerable investment and commitment to downtown Springdale. Tyson has plans to renovate several buildings in downtown Springdale, including the original headquarters and hatchery located on Emma Street. They will be adding additional office space that will make room for over 300 of the headquarter employees to work downtown. Read more about these plans and see pictures of the proposed construction. team springdale: Solar Power on its Way to Springdale!

Customers of Ozarks Electric Cooperative in Northwest Arkansas will soon be getting some of their power from the sun! Ozarks Electric just announced plans to install a one-megawatt solar generation facility on five acres in west Springdale. This is such great news! There are plans for other larger-scale solar power facilities in other parts of the state. This is a wonderful way for Arkansas to live up to it's motto of "The Natural State!"

Fayetteville has the #aletrail and now thanks to the efforts of the awesome group of folks who make up #teamspringdale, Springdale has the #tacotour! Team Springdale, the brainchild of two people - Jonathan and Amber Perrodin, was started as a way to highlight the things they loved about their city. It was originally intended to be an anoymous Instragram account that people could use to show off what they loved about their city.
