Most of 2016 saw the same monthly housing market highlights in Anderson County SC. The number of homes for sale was down in year-over-year comparisons but, sales and prices were up in most markets. New Listings were down 9.0 percent to 355, while pending sales decreased 46.8 percent to 132. Inventory shrank 11.7 percent to 2,181 units. Prices moved higher as Median Sales Price was up 5.7 percent to $149,100. Days on Market decreased 8.5 percent to 86 days.

Celebrate Anderson’s free concert and fireworks was an entertainment bargain. The event capped off a busy weekend that included Friday night’s Midnight Flight road races and the Tour De La France’s expanded three-day schedule of cycling races. This year’s concert that preceded the fireworks featured three musical acts: The T.L. Hanna High School Jazz Band which took the stage about 7 p.m. ,The Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium’s (GAMAC) Electric City Big Band performed next, followed by an Upstate jazz band, Whitney Walters & Goove Planet Band. Last Sunday, I did a Speechless Sunday photo called : An Old Red Barn. This week, I decided to do a follow up and show "an old white barn".... this one is also nearby my home, and is still in use today. I personally like the red one a little better but they are both neat!! Which is your favorite?

This is an old red barn near our house. There is just something about barns that make the interesting to photograph...Maybe it is the long history it has been though... I don't know how old this one is, but I would say at least 40 years. I have been driving by it about that long.
