The ultimate place to watch the fireworks is to head to DC to see the National Fireworks Display. However, if you would rather hang closer to home there are many wonderful places in Prince George's County Maryland to watch July 4th fireworks and celebrations. Fort Washington
National Harbor - fireworks start at 9:30pm on July 3, 2011. College Park
University of Maryland - event starts at 7pm Mitchellville

The Annual Bowie International Festival will be held on Saturday October 2, 2010 at Allen Pond Park. The Bowie International Festival includes performances and exhibits from the many international cultures represented in the area. There will be dancers & music and a Chinese Dragon. This is also a great chance to sample many different international cuisines. Vendors will be on hand selling jewelry and crafts representative of te different cultures. Varying children's activities will be present throughout the day. The Bowie International Festival is free to attend and parking is available. There are many wonderful places in Prince George's County Maryland to watch July 4th fireworks. University of Maryland - College Park Six Flags America - Mitchellville Allen Pond Park - Bowie Prince George's County Stadium - Bowie Buddy Attick Park - Greenbelt The National Harbor in Fort Washington will have a festival and fireworks on Friday, July 3, 2009. allen pond park: Bowie International Festival-Allen Pond Park.

My family and I attended the Bowie International Festival this past weekend. It was held on Saturday at the Allen Pond Park. The weather was wonderful and it was a great day to be outside. We were able to sample food from many different countries (I had Thai food). There were also vendors and displays representing many different cultures. The highlights of the festival were the performances, including a steel drum band from Trinidad and Ukrainian dancers. It was really nice to be out seeing so many people celebrating our diversity. In the meantime, we also discovered this fabulous park. We (4 comments)
