If I could, tonight I would be a fly on the wall of a particular ICU room at HUP.  I want to see the room, see the patient, take on the pain, take on the worries, and fix all that is wrong.  That is asking a lot of a fly, but in this instance, as far away as I am in Michigan, knowing would be better than guessing.  Yes, we are getting the updates, but I want to know everything, not just the highlights.  I want to see what my sister is enduring, and overcoming.  I want to see her getting … (2 comments)

How many potential investors are out there but don't believe they have what it takes?  How many have cash and don't appreciate that cash is king - that cash without inspection is king, kinged?
Tonight I watched "Good Will Hunting" with my 15-year-old and was once again struck by the limits people put upon themselves.  Surely Will Hunting did it, though escaped it presumably in the end, but he had a hard time looking outside the reality he had created for himself.  He couldn't see the bigger picture and the bigger return.  So many people are in the same situation today, … (2 comments)

These past few years have been trying times here in Michigan.  I entered this profession just as the market was declining and worried about what I had done.
Well, here I am three years later, business increasing at a slow but acceptable pace.  I am a sole agent hiring my family and the occasional office person to help me meet my goals.  I was not a mega-agent who closed over 100 deals in my first year in business - how do some do that?!  I can foresee needing to hire someone in the spring though if things continue at the same rate of growth I … (16 comments)

I'm not talking a cup of caffeine of choice.  I'm talking bone tired.  Driving home from work and wondering if following the path of the slow car ahead will be enough to get me home.  I'm that tired.  When I got home today, I took off my blazer and jewelry, turned on the overhead fan, shouted to my kids to come and cuddle with me, and crawled right under my bedcovers in my comfy pants and comfy shirt that the blazer had been dressing up.  Shoes help too.  I drifted into semi-sleep.  My daughter called, "Your phone is ringing!" and brought … (9 comments)
