What's the story? Some of you agree with the bailout, some of you are completely against it. Which is it? Which one is going to help the economy and our industry? On those hectic days where I am working 12 to 14 hours a day I often ask myself why. Then, suddenly, it comes to me. Why - because I love to see the smile on a first time home buyers face when they are handed the keys to their first home. The story is all too familiar today. I went on a listing appointment, the male seller is disabled and the female was temporarily off work from surgery. They were able to keep up on their payments but it was getting tight. So, they refinanced to help out in a pinch. Now we fast forward a few months, the second installment of the real estate taxes are due and they go on the last day to make the payment. The mortgage company already paid the taxes they are told.
