"The Ultimate Rush" turns out to be "The Ultimate Birthday Present!" I am still amazed that Alec and Kenna turned 12 on December 30, 2008. Alec and Kenna are my only two children. Next year they will start middle school. They are defiantly growing up. A few years back I decided they were getting old enough and they did not need to have a "birthday party" every year. This year was their off year which meant they had to celebrate their birthday with their parents! We celebrated by going to "The Outback Steak House," their choice, of course. Yes, they are growing up fast. But, I still love taking care of them. I like helping them with their homework. I make their lunch every morning before school. I like to help pick out their books to read for school reports. I help (hands off of cousre) with their visual aides for their reports. I am usually a team mom on their sports teams. … (19 comments)

I introduced Wonda several months ago when she first arrived at the Leighton household and today she was spayed at five months! Here are a couple of pictures of her after surgery with my children Alec and Kenna. They were worried all day but are loving the down time! She is a bit hyper usually....ah, the puppy stage....it is like having a baby in the house again. You forget how much work they are!!

Today is my 14Th Wedding Anniversary! It is really hard to believe I have been married for that many years. I remember my wedding day like it was yesterday. It is true what they say, the years will fly by after you have kids! Well here I am, 14 years, 2 kids, 2 dogs and 3 houses later. I couldn't ask for a better life.
