Come and be a part of the kids fun festival in Plainfield, New Jersey. The Plainfield Police Benevolent Association Local #19 will host a fund day for kids 12 and under. Rock-climbing wall, dunk tank, free rides, facepainting, popcorn, ice cream, and other activities. Children must be accompanied by an adult. At Library Park, West 8th Street, August 7th from 1 - 5 PM. FREE.

library: Four Seasons In Plainfield - Photography Exhibit

The Plainfield Public Library will conduct a photograh contest reception and awards presentation on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 1 P.M. in the Anne Louise Davis Gallery. The event will also inlcude the exhibit opening, which will feature entries from both professionals and amateurs. The entries total some 80 photographs some of which ahve been submitted by local elementary school students. The event which is made possible through the support of The Friends of the Plainfield Public Library, serves as a conduit for collecting photographs of life in the Queen City. The Friends of the Plainfield Library are sponsoring the Annual Wine Discovery - Saturday, September 13, 2008 to benefit the library's literacy and program needs. The venue of this year's event is the home of William Gearhart, located at 1039 Rahway Road in Plainfield. Tickets are $75/person in advance, $85 at the door. There is a scheduled tour of the home from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. Tickets for the tour (including the wine tasting) are $85/person in advance and $95 at the door.
