Lake Geneva Real Estate Market Activity for March of 2009

By
Real Estate Agent with Keefe Real Estate, Inc.

In spite of the snow in the weather forecast for this evening, we are definitely starting to see signs of an overall pickup in the real estate activity in the Lake Geneva Area.  I'm afraid that many agents have bought into the media's negative messages and either aren't seeing some of the positive signs or just won't be convinced that things are improving until we have transitioned over totally to a Sellers market where anything that hits the market as a new listing sells rightaway.  We certainly are not there now and may never get there, but to ignore the signs that are pointing to an up tick in the market is not helpful to customers who want to know what is actually going on.  Obviously Sellers still need to be told the realities of the market, which is that we have a considerable inventory of property available in almost all the various price ranges and categories and being competitively priced is as important today as ever.  I follow many successful agents across the country through social media like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn and there is a lot of talk and enthusiasm by many agents in many markets that things are improving in their markets as well.  I'm even hearing positive things about the market in Florida.  So stayed tuned, don't listen to all the doom and gloom and remember where you heard it first about things looking better.  You can follow my Lake Geneva Real Estate blog at http://blog.lakegenevaproperty.com. Now, where are my boots and snow shovel?
