It would have been neat if Ardell would have had her blog set up so the entries showed up Technorati, but she didn't.  I know she has not claimed her blog on Technorati but I am not sure if she ever set her RealTown Blog up with a template with tags when tags were introduced on RealTown Blogs.

The 'Sellsius 101' tag on technorati  The Bloodhound blog showed up, Sellsius° Blog showed up, The Property Monger Blog showed up... others commenting on the Sellsius 101 using the tag showed up on Technorati... everyone but Ardell.

realtownblogs.com reach

It did increase Ardell's traffic on her RTBlog it's... up from a couple of days ago....

"Where do people go on realtownblogs.com?

realtownblogs.com - 43%
bonnieerickson.realtownblogs.com - 13%
maureen.realtownblogs.com - 8%
ardell.realtownblogs.com - 5%"

Two days ago...Bonnie's abandoned RT blog was at 13% of all RT blogs... that's remained the same....and Ardell's efforts increased her by 2%.

Two days ago:

"According to Alexa, Ardell's Blog accounts for 3% of the traffic on RealTown Blogs*.   In comparison, Bonnie Erickson's old Real Estate Snippets blog* accounts for 13% of the traffic on RealTown Blogs... "

That's what posting 102 posts in a day (over achievers..) will do for traffic....

Worth it?

Why didn't Ardell do the challenge on Rain City Guide?

Or on her WordPress blog?

EDIT December 2011* links were all going to pages with no info (error pages) so broke 'em further.

To quote Greg's own blog from a couple weeks ago, before the Challenge even was a twinkle in anyone's eye:

"Real Estate weblogging is a journey, not a destination"...  And "The purpose of excellence is excellence"......

Only Ardell could answer for herself, of course, but I suspect her motivation didn't have all that much to do with driving traffic to her blog; it had to do with proving to herself she could do this thing.

I am not sure I see excellence in much of Ardell's 'Sellsius 101' entries.  Endurance I see...

Endurance is good.

Hard to believe that anyone has that much time. It's hard for me to do just the little blogging that I get around to doing. I do love it but I sort of have a life. And if business ever picks up, my blogging days will be at a minimum.

More power to the powerful...

Sometimes, somedays, Endurance is about as close as I'll ever get to Excellence.

I've tried to tie a couple ideas together here

Ardell started off writing.  Greg's strategy of taking big quotes and commenting was much easier to sustain than Ardell's original compositions (at the beginning).

Another thing. I've noticed much higher traffic on my new Birmingham Michigan Real Estate blog than I ever had on my blogspot blog. I think that having your own domain might help with SEO, not that I know much about SEO.

I think the RealTown blogs are a bit behind some of the other blogging platforms.  On every other blog I've ever visited you  get to the home page by clicking the header.  Easy navigation is a big thing. Hope I don't offend any of you with RT blogs.

The bloodhound has said on a number of occaisions why he thought a wordpress blog on your own domain is the way to go.

MF, Was it The Tomato that congratulated you awhile ago when you dumbed your old blog and joined "the grown up" world of blogs?  That's part of why you are seeing more traffic.

I think both bloggers did an amazing job of dumping their brain cells yesterday.  I bet they are pooped today!

Endurance is just fine Cheryl. Many folks don't even own the rights to that!

Neat graphs MM.  It certainly tells a story.

Dumbed her blog or dumped her blog?

Thanks KK for the kind words.... Just wondering what's your middle initial?

Normal day. Up at 6, I showed at 9. I stayed up to finish wth Ardell at midnight, so I thought I would suffer today. So far no problem. Thanks for all the stat stuff -- very interesting.

dumped not dumb.  MF is anything but dumb or dum or dumdum.  :)

thank God I have NO middle initial, although occasionally the junk mail people like to give me one.

BTW I didn't tell the bloodhound dog guy or Ardelle, I enjoyed the blogs. Didn't get to read all of them, but what I did I enjoyed.  Guess I should write to them and not  you... :)

Having had an RT blog before, I did get SEO there.  It also drove traffic to RT and still is.  I've lost some placement since converting, but it's regaining quickly.  My old RT Google page rank was 4/10; my highest Alexa % of RT blogs was 17% which is decreasing as I'm not adding content; searches for St. Paul real estate had my blog on one of the first 2 pages.  My point is that RT blogs can get SE placement, but you have to do the stuff to get the placement.  If you don't do that, you won't be found.  Active Rain does the placement work for us, but do we get ranking by ourselves alone?  For me the RT blog was a great place to learn and not nearly so intimidating as Typepad would have been in January when I started.
