Hello again! I hope everyone is having a great summer, minus the monsoon season (haha) we now appear to have in Indiana, but at least we're not where we were a year ago. Here's a brief report as for the home market. Things are looking up, at least to some degree. I have been fairly busy lately, including 3 accepted offers in one week, that's a pretty big deal for any realtor is this day and age. I have several clients I'm now working with as first time buyers, looking to take advantage of the tax credit before it expires. I'm still seeing some movement in the investment properties as well. Anyone looking to get into an investment property should get in it now. There is still a large number of properties out there and I will be glad to help you look for one.
Interest rates have recently jumped a little in the last week though, so if you're ready to buy, then call me or email me so we can get started on finding a home for you. Sellers shouldn't be to fearful just yet as to whether their house will sell either. Lenders are still lending, at least around this area and with all my clients I have been dealing with, while prices may be off a little bit, buyers should be able to get financing with good credit. I still feel real estate is one of the best investments you can make. It is an obvious long term investment but the pay off in the end is well worth it. Apparently the increase have spurred activity in Austin, as the past 3 weeks have been the best 3 weeks in over a year. We shall see if this is merely a bump or a movement........
