Elkhart County Indiana has its share of foreclosure and HUD homes and here is where you can search for them: ushud, hudexchange, allhud and inhud.  If you are looking for a great deal in todays market, these are the sites to check out and they are FREE HUD and Foreclosure searches!

All of these homes are vacant and you are welcome to walk the property, check out the neighborhood and peek in the windows.  When you have selected a home or several homes you would like more information on call your local Foreclosure and HUD Real Estate Expert Evelyn Johnston with Prudential One Realty at 574-304-7148.

Are you also a First Time Home Buyer?  The Tax Credit of up to $8,000 is quickly coming to a close.  You must find your home and close on it by November 30, 2009 in order to receive the FREE money.  The actual amount is 10% of the home purchase price up to a maximum of $8,000.  In other words if you buy a home for $60,000 you would get a $6,000 tax credit that you can claim this year!  Do you qualify?  If you have not owned a home for the past 3 years, if your income as a single person is $75,000 or less, or $150,000 or less for a married couple, you do indeed qualify.  You must also live in the home for 3 years.  What would you do with an extra $8,000?

And are you aware of the Indiana Housing program that offers grant money when buying a foreclosed property? Call Evelyn Johnston for all the details...574-304-7148.
