How to add a hyperlink into you blog.

Have you ever wondered how to create a word in the blog that you can click on and have it take you to another webpage that the word could possibly pertain to? Well I did for a long time, and then I found out how to do it. It's called a hyperlink and here the HTML code to make it happen.

Example: To embed a link into a Page, blogpost, or comment, it may take this form:

<a href="http://www.websiteurlhere.com">word to click here </a>

That's the code to make it happen. In ActiveRain, you'll have to click the tab at the top of the entry box that says HTML (the default is WYSIWYG "stands for What You See is What You Get") to add this code. Then you must click post this blog after you finish. IF YOU ENTER IT AND YOU JUST CLICK BACK ON THE WYSIWYG TAB, ALL OF YOUR CHANGES WILL BE LOST, TRUST ME I'VE DONE IT!! Haha

Anyway, I hope someone finds this useful.

See you all at Tsunami. My little one is waking up.....got to run!! lol

Actually Bryan there is an easier way.  While typing in the text box, highlight the word you want to link.  That will light up the picture that looks like a chain link.  It's the one 5 to the left of spell check, the broken link next to it is if you want to remove a link.  Anyway, once the chain link is highlighted, click on it.  It will open a box and you just have to type the url into it. Hit insert and you are done.  Good luck.
