One Stone, One Mile or One Bale

By

heyThe great pyramids were built one stone at a time. A hundred mile ultra marathon is ran one step at a time, one mile at a time. Loading hay is done one bale at a time. When I got to the stack Eric asked me "where is all your help"? And I smiled and replied "why do I need help"? You know I really didn't think much of it. I was raised this way. If you want something done you just start doing it. If it's a big project it just takes longer. Here in Victor Idaho you can count on the snow piling up in the winter. Plan on feeding hay from the middle of November to mid May. Having hay in the barn is a good feeling. Regardless of the task, just get started, keep going, and you will finish.

This is excellent advice. When facing a daunting task, if you take it one step at a time you can get it done!

That is a good work ethic as long as you don't get overwhelmed with too much.  There is no shame in asking for help when it's needed, (if it's needed).  I love the last line, (I think it speaks to us procrastinators :o)! ), just get started!!!  Thanks for the post!

Harley, thanks for the words of wisdom. I agree, our journey starts one step at a time and it's amazing how much we can accomplish along the way.
