I'm guessing I might be like many of you out there who cringe when the camera comes out of someone's pocket at a party or a picnic or even at a nice affair where you are all dressed up and looking your best. I can't stand to get my picture taken. In fact, my professional profile picture on ActiveRain is one that was taken over a year ago when I had short hair, which I hated (my haircut, not necc. the pic)! LOL....yet now even though I have my hair back to a shoulder length and I'm loving it again (on some days!), I still can't find my nerve to have a profile photo taken again.
Enter Video. The Moving Picture - even better. I thought the moviestars and celebrities get paid the big bucks to stand, walk, chew gum, etc on a moving picture. Now they want ME to do it...for free? And I'm supposed to encourage people to watch it?? What???? LOL!
Well, it is bound to happen soon. I know California and New York (the lands of aforementioned celebrity) have embraced the personal video, the vlogger, the amateur minute movie maker. So, here in eastern Pennsylania, I believe we are next to embrace that which the West and East coasts already do via 2nd nature. I've got my cash together and I'm heading out today to buy my FLIP camera. I promised a new potential client during a listing appointment this weekend that they would be my first video tour home listing on You Tube...so assuming I get the listing I better get practicing!

P.S. I did a quick test on my blackberry video camera...just to get a private taste and.... I MOVE MY HEAD WHILST TALKING!!!! I know I'm supposed to be a "Moving" expert...but not like this!!! I will have to tie a string to the top of my head and to the ceiling if this is going to work!!!!! I'll take any pointers if you've already gone through this "neccessary step" in building your business!
