       According to the Upper Marlboro,MD Real Estate Market Report-zip code 20774 for September 2009,sales were down only 2.44%. However Upper Marlboro,MD homes for sale that sold were only on the market for 79 days compared to 104 days this same time last year.

       Also average sale price as a percentage of average list price was 93.9%. Upper Marlboro Maryland houses for sale that sold were priced right. And in order to sell your house quickly in this market and for top dollars,you have to price it right. 

       Most of the housing sales in Upper Marlboro,MD were in the $250,000-$299,999 price range. 40 Upper Marlboro MD houses for sale sold in September 2009 compared to 41 Upper Marlboro MD houses for sale that were sold in September 2008.

       Average sold price of a Upper Marlboro,MD home in September 2009 was $283,617 compared to $323,917 this same time last year. FHA was the most popular financing used.

Lanre, Love your market reports.  You are the go to guy in the DC area, that's for sure.  You really know your market and it shows :)  I need to post mine one of these days...I'm a month behind on my web site.  We've been too busy in our area with first time homebuyers.  Do you have many in your area?   I'm glad it's wrapping up here.  Wow.  Thankful for the business but looking forward to having my life back :) 

What does "Gucci man" mean?  (I know what gucci is...LOVE their products) but didn't know if it referred to something else.  Have a wonderful week my friend :)

Elizabeth Ramsey Cooper-Golden (Huntsville Alabama Real Estate (Remax Huntsville-Madison))-Hey Liz. Active Rain's Kerrie Greenhalgh introduced a new IDX Product to me about a month ago which I really liked. Cut a long story short,she said that with this product,I will be able to buy more Gucci when I close more deals. I only have Gucci shoes but I wouldn't mind buying more Gucci if I had the money. Next thing you know she said that I can be the Gucci man so there you have it-I am Mr "DC Real Estate Gucci Man". 

I am busy also with some first time home buyers and referrals. I have been behind more than a month actually on my market reports so hopefully I can start writing one or two a day to catch up. Great to always hear from you Liz. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
