What are you doing during the seasonal slow down?

What are you doing during the seasonal slow down? Things around here has really taken a early shut down, and I was wondering what you are doing during this time period? I for myself I am stopping by the office's to talk to the agents that I have worked with to see if there is anything I can do to better serve my clients and theirs. I also switch out my brochures and business cards with new ones that I have added new information.  What else are you doing to market yourself to the public and Realtors? Thanks for all of you suggestions and may you have many happy inspections.

What slowdown?  Although our market tends to drift off a bit we are still seeing buyers out there scouring for the best deals.  We are still scrubbing the foreclosures and short sales hard finding just that!

We are doing a couple of things.  1.  We are still writing offers, so that's a good thing.  2.  We are revamping out website and our blog.

During the slow season, I take a look at my data base and go through to see who I haven't contacted within the last 90 days.  Make a Christmas card list for all of your past clients - ask for referrals. Also send out special cards to those who may have just bought homes since the beginning of the year, because this will be their first Christmas in their new homes.  If you're farming an area, a good time to drop of a box of cookies especially right before the holidays to those FSBO's along with your card.

Also remember your Lenders and Title Companies that you work with.  Sometimes just stopping by and delivering your card or a box of cookies in person goes a long way.

Every market is different and sometimes it's just the luck of the draw.  I was really busy for 6 months straight, then it just died at the beginning of November.

I am not much of a face to face marketer.  I should be doing more of that.  What I am doing is updating my web page (pretty much done with that).  I have become active here on AR which led into doing a facebook business page also.  I always keep an eye on my internet presence by doing searches and then fine tune things to improve.   A good time to get caught up on paperwork too.
