Here I sit two weeks before Christmas and I haven't even thought about shopping, this year we are going to do something a little different instead of buying presents for each other we are taking a winter trip, plus we finished the lower level of our home. We love to go south in the winter for a couple of weeks it really breaks up the cold SD winter. About our finished lower level I did most of the work myself except for the drywall. I have experience in the buildingconstruction field and worked with a electrician for a couple of years. One point that I want to make is to always do the inspections when you are doing a remodel or finishing a lower level. Codes aren't the same in all parts of the country, even rural to city can be different, so to be on the safe side have it inspected, its easier to do when you are working on it rather than when you sell and the inspector makes you tear apart the drywall to see the electrical, or mechanical. As a Realtor I saw where this can happen, we were doing inspections and the electrical, and mechanical weren't signed off on. This mistake or over sight cost the seller money and delayed the closing. It just goes back to the old saying any job worth doing is worth doing right. Hope everybody had a great year, Merry Christmas
