We have everything here. This one time small quit resort area has grown so much over the past 7 years. When I first came to Ocean City in 1989 from Baltimore it was almost like a gost town in the winter. Street lights were turned off in October and you could cruise down the Island. Any place you went everyone knew your name. I found myself specializing in Investment properties. I quickly built my data base full of investors. Second Homes and Income Producing properties became my niche in the market.
Now the Island is open all year. Street lights stay on, traffic seems to be increasing, well doubling each year. More and more are relocating, retiring and making the resort area their homes.
The market has also changed dramatically. Our market changes here before other areas. I notice that by the time we get the reports from the National Association of Realtors and from the news about the market, our market conditions have already been thru the slow period and have already began to rise. In the past year the market has taken a huge dive. Properties are sitting on the market longer and our clientele of buyers are looking longer and harder before they purchase.
Selling Real Estate has been and continues to be challenging and very emotional. Selling Real EState has been and continues to be the most rewarding career for me.
