Lancaster County's Central Park is one of the most beautiful parks in the county. Located on the Conestoga River one mile south of Lancaster, the park can be reached from Chesapeake Street.
The park is also home to historic Rock Ford Plantation built in 1792.
The Garden of the Five Senses has many plantings, trees, and a waterfall.
The office of the Central Park is itself an historic farmhouse.

This is a VERY beautiful place, Brian. I love the name 'The Garden of the Five Senses' ! How perfect. The waterfalls would provide the sound and the gardens would provide the other four. I love the architecture of the old farmhouse and these pictures help me to feel like I am right there.
I think I will have to plan a trip to Lancaster next year, especially if you keep posting these kinds of posts. ((-:

I've been meaning to do some history posts myself for my OldEastHill.com blog . We have some truly wonderful historic houses and buildings here in Belleville and on the island across the way from us, Prince Edward County.
You're an excellent photographer. I think I am going to have to get a better camera. Mine is about 4 years old now and digitals have come a long way since then.

Brian, I have come to learn that google does not like you to duplicate posts on blogs and will penalize you. This is concerning to me since I like to post my blogs at AR first and then channel them off to one of my other blogs.
Now I realize that I will have to change the titles and mix them up a bit before doing so. If only there were more hours in the day or I could cause time to expand whenever I needed some extra !
You did inspire me to get to work writing some history blogs though, and this week I am going to write one on my favourite local historical site. I will definitely post it here at AR. Thanks !

Brian , I don't want to let Google dictate what or where I post either. Unfortunately, they are the number one search engine and if we don't go by what they like, they penalize our position. I have already seen it happen with some of my duplicated blog posts. Although I write because I love to write and share ideas, knowledge, experiences , etc , some of my posts are to serve my community and better position my business to attract new clients. I guess the only way around it is to change the title slightly and also change the wording of the post somewhat.

Brian, will do. For now I am getting the STRANGEST key words bringing people to my blogs. For instance, one of the latest ones is someone typed 'how do I walk away from my mortgage' in their google search bar, and guess whose post was in the top ten ?? My 'Walk Away Power' post. Go Google ! (and it was absolutely nothing to do with mortgages ). Keeping track of which key words attract people to your post is a very good thing. All sorts of people worried about bat droppings are now reading my blog. oh my.
