First Time Home Buyers - Here Are The First Steps To Get Started

By
Real Estate Agent with Benchmark Realty LLC, Nashville TN 615.516.5233 TN 221117

Are you a potential 'first time homebuyer' who has
been renting and thinking about buying
a home for a Katie and David at the inspection of their new home. long time?

First of all, it IS nice to own your own place and be able to build up equity and decorate as you please.

AND time is running out to take advantage of the $8,000 first time homebuyers tax rebate & credit.  Contracts on new home purchases have to be written by April 30, 2010, and closed by June 30,2010.  This is real money that you get back when you file your taxes.  You get 10% of the purchase price of your new home, up to $8,000. Certain restrictions apply.

It may seem overwhelming....where to start?? But I am sure you know that millions of buyers were first time buyers at some time in their lives and made it through 'The High Seas Of Home buying.'  You can even order and download an e-booklet with lots of tips on the process of home buying.

We can help.  The first steps to get started are:

1.  Make a decision to explore the possibilities of owning a home or condo or owner-occupied duplex.
2.  Call or email John or Sarah Rummage or America Realty Resources, Nashville TN and say 'hello' and tell us that you are thinking of buying a home.
3.  We will recommend that the first thing you do is talk to your lender, OR talk with one of our professional, reliable lenders who have served us well in the past.  These lenders will get basic, preliminary information from you (employment, income, etc) and possibly ask your permission to run a credit bureau report.  They can then tell you what price range is best to look in.
4.  Then we talk about the area of town you prefer, and we tell you how to search the internet for properties which you may like.  We will also be looking for homes for you.
5.  When you find properties that you like, you will let us know, and we will schedule an appointment to go see the homes. The appointments fit your schedule and ours and the sellers.  Don't be surprised if the first few homes are not at all what you want.  They may be beat up, they may be dirty, OR they may be pristine and in good condition.  Sometimes you have to kiss a lot of toads to find a prince. Don't get discouraged.  One day, we will go into a home, and you will all of a sudden say 'this is the one.'

And we will write the offer and start the negotiation on the terms. We will be with you every step of the way.
(to be continued)
