I sing with Cascade Harmony Chorus, a Sweet Adeline Chorus in region 24. We just got back from competition and what a great time we had. It seems like only yesterday when we dreaded going to competition. About 5 years ago we got a new director, and she had us start doing things like actually standing on the risers the whole practice and gave us practice tapes so we could practice during the week. Five years ago our goal was "not to suck" at comp. (sorry for the foul language) This year we came in 2nd in our division and 3rd overall, which is great. Our goal now is to always "medal". We are singing better than ever and it is very very fun.
If any of you are out there reading this, well women specifically, and you like to sing, go to
http://www.sweetadelineintl.org/
and find a chorus to go visit. I am sure there are chorus's everywhere. Here is my chorus
Now you may not be able to pick me out, due to the big hair, stage makeup, and well all those sequins. If you live in the area and like to sing, please get ahold of me and come try it for a night.
Oh and for my sweet adeline sisters, I sing bass, and have done some quarteting and am looking forward to quarteting in the future.
