Hello to all my realtor friends. I am trying to get a sense of what the return investment would be for the average family that installs goethermal systems. Many in my industry are investing a ton of money and time into marketing geothermal and im curious as to weather or not from a real estate investment point of view if it would be a fruitful venture for the average consumer. Geothermal drilling is something my company has been involved with since the early 80's however we have never truley marketed it due to the costs. The average consumer even with local, state and federal incentives would still be investing a lot of money into these systems and with it being such a buy and sell market for a good number of years now would it be a return investment. My same thoughts go with photovoltaic solar systems and residential wind turbines are these marketable as return investments in terms of real estate investment? With so many talking about going green many are still afraid of the return. So in conclusion before i invested in further marketing i would be curious to hear your imput. Are people asking for green homes verses homes with standard utilities. Where do you as real estate professionals see the market going in the next yesr or so.
