Truth ... Will you commit yourself?

By
Services for Real Estate Pros

We live in an Idol society. People use technology to vote for the model, singer, dancer of their dreams. But there is no measure yet for picking the Real Estate Salesperson Idol. Or is there?

How about "referrals"? Less I date myself, in the old days we performed a service and in return our clients sent us referrals. And it should be no less today.

Many salespeople have exited this business and it could be that now is the time to seize the moment and commit yourself to quality customer service.

One area of customer service we need to improve upon is: helping our customer in the choice of a home. I'm speaking more specifically of helping them to find a home which meets their needs, yet is not beyond what they can afford. This is a new day.  Yes commissions are the lifeblood of our business(at least so far, knocking on wood). But we need to help our customers to get a realistic house of their dreams.

As the country moves more toward the "R" word(Regulation) we as an industry need to begin regulating ourselves and re-establish mission statements which are dedicated to "truth" in sales. Personally I would rather a client "move on" than to make a commission after selling them a home which they may loose later.

So let's rededicate ourselves and  our mission  towards "truth".
