The Aurora Illinois market is a mixed bag with national pressure weighing heavily on local conditions. The regional impact is good with 1234 homes sold in the 12 month period ending July 31. This is a slight drop of 7.14% better than national average and better than Chicago.

The days on market has increased by a full three weeks over last years and is now at 71 days which is a respectable number. The number of homes under contract when comparing July of 2006 with July of 2007 is virtually unchanged. 257 units this year was only 3 units shy of last year. The year to year comparison is almost the same with 236 homes sold this July and 266 homes sold last July. The inventory levels are as high as we have seen in over two years but the median price has remainded positive with a minimal loss. The Kettley office remain strong in sales with a market time of 60 days which is 11 days below the average.
