4th of July Fireworks in Huntsville

So, where can you catch some 4th of July fireworks in Huntsville? If you plan your schedule right, this year you'll have a chance to catch all three of the big fireworks displays in the Tennessee Valley without missing a beat! Here are my suggestions for the top things to do in the Huntsville are this July 4th weekend - including 4th of July fireworks in Huntsville, Decatur, and Madison.

Huntsville Stars Independence Day Celebration - Huntsville, Alabama

As usual, this year will provide a chance to catch some minor league baseball action and celebrate our nation's indepedence after the game. However, because the Huntsville Stars play an away game on July 4th this year, their Independence Day Celebration will be held on July 3rd. Fireworks will begin after the game brought to you buy Comcast. Also, if you are a member at Costco, bring you membership card and you'll receive half off the purchase of your tickets! So, it won't be July 4th just yet, but there's nothing wrong with getting the celebration started early!

4th of July Celebration at Dublin Park - Madison, Alabama

Madison Parks and Recreation will be getting things started at 2:00 p.m. this year at Dublin Park with activities continuing on throughout the day and concluding with a fireworks display at dark. Activities will feature a live band performance by The Shakes from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and children will be able to enjoy inflatables. Vendors will be on hand to provide food, drinks, and snacks. For more on the City of Madison's 4th of July celebration, call Dublin Park at 256.772.9300.

The Spirit of America Festival - Decatur, Alabama

The Spirit of America Festival is back for the 44th year this 4th of July in Decatur, Alabama. This festival held at Point Mallard Park has been name one of the "Top 20 events in the Southeast" by the Southeast Tourism Society. This weekend long celebration (July 2nd - July 4th) is all about three things - food, fun, and fireworks! The July 4th (Sunday) activities begin with a bike parade registration at 12:00 p.m. followed by a raising of the flag at 12:30 p.m. This all day conclusion to the weekend will include a gymnastics exhibition, cheerleading routine, live music, children's areas, Miss Point Mallard Pageant and of course, a fireworks display at 10:00 p.m. Also featured is a Spirit of America award ceremony honoring three of our servicemen for their commitment to our great country. This patriotic event really is an all day thing. For more details, check out spiritofamericafestival.com.

So there it is. Three different places to enjoy 4th of July fireworks in Huntsville, Madison, and Decatur. Please be safe and have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!

So, is the Point Mallard Park a "weekend-long celebration" or an "all-day celebration?" The paragraph says both but doesn't suggest that there's anything happening on the 3d. . .

Hey Cooper,

The Spirit of America Festival at Point Mallard is all weekend. I just skipped to July 4th to kind of summarize and avoid naming events on all three days. Here's the link to the website which has a schedule for the whole weekend: Spirit of America Festival Website

Thanks for stopping by.

Just wanted to post an update for everyone that Bridge Street in Huntsville will indeed have a fireworks display on July 4th. As of my posting I couldn't find any info for that, but since then I've seen it confirmed.
