I just figured I'd post a little video clip from the movie "Gettysburg." It's a pretty interesting little clip. I still find it hard to believe that they found it intelligent to march in straight lines while being shot at but tactics were far different back then. The development of weapons over the years dramatically changed fighting techniques. In honor of the 147th anniversary of the war here is the clip.

My husband worked on the motion picture "Gods and Generals" several years ago in Maryland. While we were there we went to Gettysburg. It was an amazing experience....once we got close to the place where the battle had taken place, I uncontrollably started crying.
