Now I realize I can be very biased when it comes to awesome custom construction. With a dad in the biz, and a hubby too, I am "miss opinionated" :) I love Tour of Homes ANYWHERE, but Bend Oregon has an especially fun two-weekend event that showcases some of the best-of-the-best.
But this year, I have to say---not so impressed. The BIG houses didn't have anything "new" to say, nor did the attempts at modern (and there are good modern homes in Bend!). Overall, I'd say the best bang for the buck went to the custom builders in the 200k-300k category, who pulled out all the punches to wow buyers and ended up building homes that made sense...and isn't that what we all want, really?
But the best deal--- I promised I'd tell :)
It is biased---but if you want a 3M home for $849,000, here's your chance. 61279 Gorge View St, Bend OR 97701 is on the market. It is shangra-la. It's a walk away from the Old Mill, five minutes from downtown and has the best, un-interrupted views of the Cascade Mountains and Deschutes River of ANY home in bend.
