Michael Delaware, Realtor is my new business page on Facebook. I recently attended a class held at the Michigan Association of Realtors annual convention and expo that covered starting a business page on Facebook. My new page can be found at: Facebook.com/MichaelDelawareRealtor.
‘Michael Delaware Realtor' allows me another dimension in social networking and enables me to reach more local clients who know me through Facebook. I can separate my personal FB page from my business page, where it is okay to post things about Real Estate, trends, recent blog entries, listings, etc. I like this.
I have learned a lot of taking continuing education and webinars through Active Rain and other organizations. This new ‘Michael Delaware Realtor' page is a result of those classes.
In 2011 I will serve as President for my local Association, the Battle Creek Area Association of Realtors. This new page will help me with that as well, and perhaps I will even start one for the local association as well.
I set up ‘Michael Delaware Realtor' as a business page, and I made it possible for others to post comments on the page as well, which helps me find out feedback from other people. So far since launching ‘Michael Delaware Realtor' a few days ago, I have received one inquiry about listing a property and set up another referral line with another Realtor friend of mine who lives in Clearwater, Florida.
This has been just in the first few days of launching the page. So I am hopeful that this will be a new way to reach clients and help them become homeowners. I find that there is always something to learn in the every expanding realm of social networking, and often marvel at the rapid growth of sites like Facebook, and other networking sites in the past few years.
To think that when I started in the Real Estate business the word Facebook was never even heard of, and today is so common a meeting ground that it is a wonder that it took so long to come into being. I hope you will take time to visit my page: Facebook.com/MichaelDelawareRealtor and let me know if you ‘Like' it. Thank you!
