Hey Mr/Ms Realtor: Are You One of the 0.1% ??

Tech Tip Thursday was on hiatus this past Thursday, partly because your's truly did not realize that the week was nearly over.

Between Realtor Agent Assessments and funding purchase loans, it has been a busy week.

However, after working in my wood shop today, I came in to the computer to sit down and catch up on some works.  I have some HTML forms to write for my new project.

I always like to see what was featured on Active Rain.  I get a lot of ideas piggybacking from what others talk about. Today it is Ginny Gorman and her article about "Are You Posting to YouTube Yet?"

So today I will talk about the importance of Video, Virtual Tours, You-Tube and how these simple FREE strategies will increase your closings next month and next year.

Now, the reason why I chose, Video, Virtual Tours and You-Tube  is because these three are interconnected.

VIDEO

Everything today is nearly Video -- Video Conferencing, Video Surveillance, Video Court, Video Blogging, Video Games, etc.

According the NAR, less than .1% (One Tenth of One Percent) off all realtors are using video right now. Yet video outpulls simple text at an astonishing 8:1 ratio

The reasons that agents wont do video are many.  The top is technical expertise, cost factors involved, and what to say.  There are a multitude of reasons (I don't look good, bad hair day, bad face day, fill in the blank here).

So keep reading if you are willing to change.  If not, then close your browser now

===========================

Problem: I don't know what I would say

Solution:  I have four years of things to say at a rate of one per week.  This can be for referral partners and for your typical buyer or seller as a video tip of the week.  Oh yeah, birthday wishes in video, along with holiday wishes go a LONG ways

===========================

Problem: I don't know how to upload, where to upload, or how to get my message out

Solution:  Can you cut/paste and send an email?  Yes, ok keep reading then

===========================

Problem:  Video costs too much

Solution: This is not really a problem, just an excuse.  But to those of you thinking that, FREE is NOT EXPENSIVE

===========================

Problem: Bad Hair / Face Day

Solution: How cares, Be Like Mike and Just do It

One of the best things that a realtor can do is upload a virtual tour to YouTube.  60% of all searches were of VIDEOS.  Now I know that there are those nay sayers out there, Virtual Tours are expensive.  Yes, if you flock to those sites that promise everything and deliver nothing.  But if you are interested in the $1.00 Virtual Tour, then you should really keep reading

VIRTUAL TOURS

$1.00 Virtual Tours are uploaded to YouTube Automatically.  It is a well known fact that over 80% of people start there next home search on .................... THE INTERNET.  If you would like to know more about the very inexpensive strategy, Read (See) My Interview (in video) of Tim Terpening with Keller Williams New Tampa.  And see what success he has had with Video, Virtual Tours and You-Tube

So are you going to be one of the 0.1% ? Are you going to implement a dynamic and free strategy or are you going to keep complaining about the market and not selling homes

PS Brian Stevens and Frank Garay (of Think Big, Work Small) are going to be at the Video Marketing Roundup in Dallas on Dec 10 - 13th. They are going to show me how to implement video on a broader scale to get referral partners, buyers, sellers, business, etc. I will have the legal ability to show you what they will show me. If you want to go in person, then let me know. If you cannot go, then sign up to see the abbreviated format via live training when I get back after Christmas (by leaving a comment "I want to be Better in 2011)

While you are at it, subscribe to my weekly video tip series. You can even subscribe your clients to the same tip series also
