The Killer FSBO Letter - I got a Question

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Blue Asset Management

I was reading a good post several months ago on the Killer FSBO letter. It was a good letter, i thought, if I were one to send letters to FSBO's. I thought about it, thought about the use of it for our agents, kicked it around, and then thought to myself how dynamic a market FSBO are, how 84% list within 90 days of their ad hitting the paper, how the majority will list with the first agent who contacted them, provided that agent stays in touch consistently. And I thought, do I want to advocate the use of a letter to FSBO's in the hope they call for a listing appointment, or do I want to continue to advocate using the new and rising technology caled the phone to make FSBO contacts, appointments and achieve listing inventory.

Whats your take. If you are a letter writer, and I again submit that I thought the letter in the post was a good one, if I was going to try a letter. The question would be, does the letter generate, or in anyones experience has it generated, with consistency, the same (or better) level of activity you achieved or would have achieved had you used the phone instead of the postal service.

I'd love to hear your input
