Chris that is a beautiful older home in the first picture.  The front entrance almost looks like what you would find in a church.

Chris--I am ashamed to admit that after living in Columbus, OH the first 32 years of my life, I know very little about Cleveland.  Even though Cleveland is hours away from Columbus, I am thoroughly enjoying your posts and learning about 'that other city' in Ohio.  Makes me a little home sick, but I am enjoying what I am learning!

Chris  It is good for a city to have a program that encourages the preservation of heritage property - it is not a waste of money

Hi George -- There is some amazing architecture in Cleveland, always something new to explore.

Hi Pat -- I'm with you, I probably know less about Columbus than you do about Cleveland! :)  Thanks., I am really enjoying learning about your area as well, a side-benefit of AR for sure.

Hi Karen -- Totally agree.  I wonder if today's tract-builders home will look as grand 100 years from now?  I would venture a guess not.

Chris, those are some beautiful homes.  Isn't it wonderful that there are organizations that support the area this way?

Btw, my girls and I just love Hot in Cleveland and are anxiously awaiting its return in a few weeks!

Hi Chris ~ Whenever older homes can be preserved, we all benefit.  If I lived in Cleveland I'd be very interested in learning more about the Cleveland Restoration Society.  You always show such us such beautiful homes and neighborhoods in your posts!  I'll bet your 1925 Shaker Heights home is a beauty, too.

Hi Maggie -- Yes, it's one of the fabrics that keep a community vibrant.  That's a common sentiment about that Cleveland show.

Hi Renee -- Thanks and good tip.

Hi Maureen -- So true about everyone benefiting. Shaker has some amazing homes.
