It is time to be optimistic about Florida, a recent article with Florida Realtors mentioned that Floridians are again being optimistic which is a great sign that things are getting better. Consumer confidence has risen 7 points in the past year from 77 from 70 according to a recent university survey.
Some of this optimism is supported by the increase in purchasing big ticket items such as cars and appliances. This is great news and is a great way to start 2011 with such exciting facts. As a real estate agent in South Florida I have noticed an increasing energy in the market, with prices and interest rates as low as they are, many of the people I am working with think now is a great time to buy.
We are fortunate to be in such a wonderful area of the country, this recent optimism is infectious. In going to restaurants, grocery stores, and being out in the public there is a much more positive attitude in general. We still have a little more of the storm to weather out, but it seems that Florida is working it's way to sunnier days. We are the sunshine state, how can you not be optimistic with all the beautiful weather and surroundings.
