I am part Chinese (Cantonese.) My maiden name is Ah Hoy Tam and my paternal grandfather was the president of the Tom Society in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Unfortunately I am not fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin.
This Thursday is the start of a new year. That is the Chinese (Lunar) New Year.
In Hawai'i we say Kung Hee Fat Choy. May this year be full of blessings and good luck. Have a prosperous new year!
I also use the start of the Chinese New Year to update my goals as well as update my business plan... after I update my business plan according to the Gregorian calendar :)
One personal goal is to learn Cantonese and speak and write it fluently.
Kung Hee Fat Choy!
I will be wearing red for good luck :)
