Tequesta Your Secret is Out!
After all the great news we passed your way last month about housing inventories continuing to drop across the market areas I service I could hardly wait to run the numbers when I finally got to the computer today. Last month at this time we reported that Tequesta inventory levels had just dropped for the 8th time in 9 months which is a great sign of a market continuing to recover. So what has happened since then........
Well, the Tequesta market continues to amaze me and remains as one of the best performing markets in the north County area. While we did not have a drop this month, the inventory level remained steady and is still at the lowest level of the past 12 months. The net inventory of real estate currently for sale on our local Multiple Listing Service (MLS) in Tequesta now stands at 315, unchanged from from the January 1st level. Net inventory is defined as all of the property actively being marketed that does not have a contract outstanding either as a contingent or pending listing.
I closely follow five communities every month with this metric and while I am probably not going to report the others until tomorrow I will give you a preview here; inventories INCREASED in all of the others. Tequesta, your secret is out and smart buyers are recognizing what great value there is on the northern edge of Palm Beach and southern edge of Martin Counties. With prices that have stabilized and still good inventory it is a great time to be shopping for your new Tequesta home. However, you may not want to wait too much longer!
