Facebook: Get your visitors to land where you want them

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with D3 Interactive Marketing

Did you know that when your Facebook visitors come to your business page, they don't have to land on the wall?  In fact, I seldom suggest having visitors land there.  Why?  You don't control the formatting or the message they receive as their FIRST IMPRESSION.  I suggest controlling where they land through the use of tabs.

Most already know what a Facebook tab is so I am going to skip that portion of the lesson to keep this short and sweet.  To change the landing tab.

  1. Go to your facebook business page and click Edit Page.
  2. Go to Manage Permissions
  3. 6 lines down it says Default Landing Tab.  Pick your poison.
  4. Click save Changes.

You now control the first impression a user gets when they come to your Facebook Business Page.

Laura - It is great to manage the first impression that users get to your facebook page just as you would if they opened the door to your office.

Chris,

Just went to my business facebook page to change my landing tab, but not sure which one to choose.  I don't have an impression tab, right now it's defaulted for the "wall".
