I stumbled on this new company Varolo offering to pay you to Watch Commercials 10 minutes a day online. You basically join in a village or a community, and for each commercial you watch, you rate it, do this for 10 minutes a day and you get points towards a monthly Jackpot. At the same time, you are earning money depending on how many people are in your "Village".
I think the company Varolo has come up with an excellent business model for advertisers to not only promote their products but to gain feedback on their commercials.
NOW....Let's apply THIS to Real Estate.... What if we propose to SELLERS. Instead of us Agents incurring costly advertising expenses, we ask THEM to pay qualified buyers to preview their HOMES? HOW? Well, I am still thinking through that model but just for "giggles and grins"....
To qualify for the....lets say....$5.00 "Store" Gift Certificate....the buyer/agent must provide the listing agent a copy of the buyers Lender Pre-Qualification letter. This could be submitted by email ALONG WITH FEEDBACK which is MANDATORY!
The Listing Agent then mails the $5.00 Card to the office address of the Buyers Agent with a "Thank you for showing....." card. (The buyers will be looking for this card...why? because you will have the Internet Remarks of your Listing Service that the Sellers are offering a $5.00 Gift Card just for previewing!!!!)
So.....lets do the numbers.....10 showings. $50.00. 20 Showings. $100.00. The last display ad I ran in my local paper ran me $125.00. Is $100.00 too much to ask for your Seller to come up with for the marketing idea? Lets face it....you will have 20 qualified Buyers.....taking THEIR time (and the Buyers Agent) previewing the property and you are GUARANTEED FEEDBACK on ALL 20 SHOWINGS or NO GIFT CARD!...that my friend....is golden! It may even be worth a $10.00 card if I were the Seller...
When you think this through......your first thought should be......"Is Robert available to come to my office for a motivational meeting?!".......Stop Laughing!!!!!
