Answer to Question 7. What separates you from the competition?

I have come up with some important questions to use or ask when interviewing a REALTOR®. And I have mentioned that I am going to answer every one of them, in blog format, because I have a lot to say about most of them. So check in regularly for the answers!

Question 7. What separates you from the competition?

I am all about information, education, and doing what is right for the client. The more information and education that I can provide to you, the better decision you can make towards meeting your real estate goals. Sometimes selling is not in your best interest at the time, there may other ways around it. I have a number of clients right now, that have decided and have qualified to keep their current homes, but also purchase another home. (One of the programs is a cash back mortgage – better understood as a zero down, yes they are still available to those who qualify.) What a great way to set yourself up for the future, creating an investment property! Now that is looking out for what is in my clients best interest!

I have actually shown up at a clients home, and they are ready to sign the Offer to Purchase Contract, to buy a home. And more than once, I have actually talked my client out of writing the offer. Now keep in mind, they were ready to write, that is why I was going over there. But with the homework that I had done, and truly taking their best interest to heart, I talked them about it and encouraged them to not sign at that time. (Of course it is always their decision in the end, and I won’t make any decision for you.) But I will give you my assessment and my opinion. I always go back afterwards and ask my clients “remember that house you were going to write on and you decided to wait, do you have any regrets?” They always say “not at all”, and are really glad to have had my input to draw from.  The joke around my house… after coming home an appointment, my husband asks me “So, did you talk the client into buying a home, or out of buying a home?” My answer, “I did what was in the best interest of the clients”.

Of course I do have designations and certification that also help to set me apart from the other REALTORs® out there, you can see one of my previous posts for more information on that.
