Watauga lake, located in Northeast Tennessee has a shore line of 85% National Forest. Due to this, the traffic on the lake is really kept to a minimum and the beauty of the Lake and the area is highlighted. The lake is surrounded by Mountains and Forest and is one of the prettiest lakes here in Northeast Tennessee. It is a short 20 minute drive to Elizabethton Tennessee and 30 minutes to Johnson City Tennessee.
