Spectacular Saturday...

Memorial Day Weekend has been packed full of many things to do today. Harriman Tennessee had their first annual Memorial Day Parade and it was a great success. But, I'm jumping the gun here. We started off with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Lion's Club of Harriman, and they weren't kidding...they did have the WORLD'S BEST PANCAKES!!!

Next stop was the parade...it was short but very sweet and touching. The parade ended at David Webb's Riverfront Park with a ceremony honoring our fallen military, fireman and police officers.

I'm not sure what everyone did for the rest of the day but most of us finished off the night 'cutting a rug' to the music of Grand Prix. It was a blast! I for one think that a concert in the park during the months of April through September would be a marvelous event for Harriman Tennessee. I think I may have to work on that idea!

Looks like fun Kim. I once lived in a small town and they had a parade for about every occasion. It was great fun even if you saw most of the entries many times.

Billi, Kristine and Cindy...it was a great time. The band was such a hit later in the evening that I'm going to see what can be done about concerts in the park once a month through the spring, summer and fall season. That would be great!
