Last Tuesday, I was listening to Ken Cook on Blog Talk Radio and they were discussing to Empire Avenue. I thought it was a place in his town and I just kept listening, for more clues on what this Empire Avenue was. Then the magic word was said, SOCIAL MEDIA, oh for sure, I knew what that was but what was on Empire Avenue and where was this street?
Finally, the told the audience about Empire Avenue. It was another Social Media site and it was good and then my sound died and now what? Well what anyone else who was interested in social media would do, first I tried to go out and come back in still nothing, so I put on my walking shoes and headed over to Empire Avenue.
I was able to get there by inputting my FB info and the doors of excitement opened up to me.
It is a game but there is two things that drive the game, one buying each other but the true aspect of this game is how well you are in the six social medias out there. They have scores from 1 to 100 in each category. They are, FB, Twitter, FB Fan Page, Lindedin, YouTube and Flckr. You can also link your blogs thru the rss feed to gain more points,
Personally, I love a challenge and this is the perfect game for me. It drives me to blog, it makes me remember to Tweet, to write a blurb on my fan page, everything I have been forgetting to do, now if I want to be with the big guys, I got to play by their rules and also interact with the folks on the site.
I have made some lovely new friends and found some old timers, Jeremy Blanton, Jeff Turner, Missy Clauk, Susan Manigigan and Ken Cook is who I have found so far.
