Does Google Places Put Your Business on the Map?
This is a good blog post explaining how to do Google Places. It also explains why it is a good opportunity to do this for your business. I like the action item on the bottom, too. Does Google Places Put You on the Map?
Are you looking for another FREE way to put your business on the map, LITERALLY?
Are you using Google Places? If not, you're missing an opportunity to get your business in front of the public! You don't have to be a Mason Ohio area REALTOR® for this to help you, any business can take advantage of this FREE service from Google. Consumers often search for businesses by location, and guess what comes up first? A map and a list of related businesses.
Take for example, search for "mason ohio real estate agents".
Even before you get the Google organic search results for websites, you get the map results!
On the left side of the search results page you get the map matches with details....that's US at position E!
On the right of the results page is the map! You don't see marker E because we're stacked behind C...and D....because our corporate OFFICE has claimed the location, and so has another agent or two in our office! But we're there! Zoom in far enough and you get our marker!
And this all interconnects! If they click the hyperlink in the first match, they go straight to our main website.Click the "Place page" link and they go to the Google Places profile. Here you have details on who you are, what you do, links to your website, even videos attached if you like! A snapshot to get them to call you! And people are looking, we've had over 1700 impressions in the last 30 days. Now a lot of those impressions may be because you're on the map next to something ELSE they wanted, but it's a start! Some DO click through to our main website!
And this is an EASY thing to get set up!
Like everything with Google, you'll need to have an account with them. Once you're signed on, click on the Google Places section and "Add new business". Populate the fields, add some pictures, tell your story, get your place on the map! And the next time someone searches for your type business in that area, you're THERE!
And who knows, your business just might grow a bit and it won't cost you anything but your time! You are now PAGE ONE on GOOGLE and you didn't have to pay ANYONE a dime! What tops that? Not much!
