What to do in Florence, AL - July 31

Another year of the W.C. Handy Music Festival is winding down. Here is a link to today’s schedule, but it is fairly light.

According to one source I’ve seen, On the Rocks is scheduled to have live music tonight, but I don’t know who is supposed to be playing.

I think most people today are at home trying to recover from the week-long area-wide party that just happened! BUT, if you are still trying to find something to do, there are still plenty of other interesting things that don’t require a schedule or planning.

Beat the heat at the Splash Pad in River Heritage Park next to the Marriott. Grab a frozen yogurt downtown at Makadoo’s or in Seven Points at Frostbite. (Like both of these businesses on Facebook to find out the daily flavors.) Take a short ride down Hwy 43 to Russellville to the King Drive-in to catch a double-feature and have dinner at their snack bar. (Tonight they have Captain America and Transformers.)

See? Even when there’s not a big event planned, you can never say “There’s nothing to do!”
